The Apex 21 irons enjoy even stronger lofts than the set of P770’s. While the Callaway 3-iron is only 0.5 degrees stronger than the P770 equivalent, its pitching wedge is 3 degrees stronger than the TaylorMade version.

Shafts

The stock shaft for TaylorMade P770 irons is the KBS Tour Steel. The Tour Steel is available in two variations of flex. Stiff and extra stiff. If you have a faster swing speed, this should work for you. However, if your swing is on the slow side, you may want to look at a customized seniors or ladies flex shaft.

Grips

The stock standard grip for the P770 irons is the Golf Pride ZGrip 360. This is the firmest cord grip produced by the grip manufacturing giants.

Shafts

There are two main standard shaft options available with the Apex 21 irons. The True Temper Elevate ETS 95 Steel and The UST Mamiya Recoil Dart 75 Graphite shafts.

The 2.5 degrees of strengthed loft on the Apex 7-iron helps Crossfield hit 23 yards further than the P770’s.
