6. Garmin Approach S40 GPS Golf Watch
The S40 is the latest design by Garmin and it sits between the S20 and the S60. It has a colour touch screen and most of the features of the S60 including Pin Selection, Autoshot, Digital Scorecard, Hole Overview and you can select any position on the hole you are playing to lay up but not the entire course.
It is also missing the compass feature of the S60 which we really love and the Slope and Swing Tempo also miss out in the latest edition.
In their place comes a better battery life in GPS mode, at least two rounds, three different styles to choose from, downloadable interfaces and easily changeable bands.
This watch is more stylish but less productive for us than the S60 and we prefer the great value of the S20 but all in all, this is the definitely the best look and one of the best performing watches on the circuit and still certainly worth considering.
