The Wilson Women’s Golf Set comes in a stylish blue and white carry stand bag and it three different versions, all with their own unique look and feel.
If you are new to golfing you will probably know how hard it is to hit the ball straight and with clubs that are designed to hit the ball long and straight are the perfect option for improving your game and lowering you scores.
The clubs are perfect for women from about 5 ft 5 to 5 ft 7 so if you are interested, let’s take a look.

Key Features
These clubs are specially designed with a low centre of gravity to allow women golfers to gain the maximum distance off the tee.
The irons have extra large faces to give a bigger sweet spot and they feature perimeter weightings to be generous for off centre hits which are quite common fir beginner golfers and hitting your irons better can be a huge boost for your overall game.
Lightweight With A Flexible Shaft
We were very impressed by how lightweight and easy to hit the clubs were. This is partly down to their low centre of gravity and the flexible shafts that are used in the clubs for easy swings.
The cart bag that comes with the Wilson golf club set is also lightweight and it makes carrying you clubs a real possibility if you don’t fancy carrying them which should be manageable as well on the course. The bag also has 5 pockets which was ample space for all balls, tees and accessories
The Clubs come in three versions and the differences are mainly down to the composition of the shafts and the club mix.
Ok, So What’s In The Women’s Ultra Complete Bag?
The Women’s Ultra Complete Set comes with 9 Clubs, 3 Headcovers and the lightweight, stylish Cart Bag.
The Driver:
An important club for any golfer, you want to be able to hit with confidence off the first tee box and this is exactly what this lightweight, low centre of gravity, graphite flex driver delivers with it’s over sized head which is forgiving even when you don’t hit the sweet spot every time.
We tried it an a couple of times it saved us from going into the woods and the water or barely hitting the ball at all which happens to the best of us.
Fairway Wood:
The Fairway wood has also got graphite shaft which allows it to be lightweight and easy to swing.
Hybrid:
The Hybrid in the set comes with a steel shaft which allows you to add some distance to your shot and most beginners tend to find a hybrid club easier to hit with.
The Irons:
The Irons in the Ultra Complete Set come with Zinc shafts which allow for an easy swing, good distance and a forgiving feel. The oversized heads are also quite forgiving. The Irons are 6/7/8/9/PW so you will need to use your pitching wedge when hitting out of the sand.
Putter:
The Wilson Heel/Toe putter is designed for beginners to get a smooth stroke and go for the hole every time.
This is set is for a beginner that wants to get out on the course but not spend too much. The absence of a sand wedge leads us to suggest that the Wilson Profile XD set for winners is the better choice. We wouldn’t recommend this set.
Wilson Profile XD For Women
The Wilson Profile XD Set is perfect for those who know how to play the game and want to stop using the old set that they found in the house. They understand that with a proper set of Women’s Golf Clubs For Beginners, they can really get great improvements in their overall game and scores.
The Profile XD set includes a sand wedge so you won’t have to borrow your mates club when you end up in a bunker and you can get it out with ease. Ahem!
The XD set club compositions also differ slightly. While you always get the three head covers for your clubs but the XD set comes with a stand bag which you carry around the course and place on the fairway when needed.
All of the clubs in Wilson Profile XD Set are composed of graphite shafts which are easy to swing and offer good distance and control for the improving player.
If you are serious about golf then you should probably be thinking about the XD set with the Sand Wedge and we would not recommend the basic.

The third set is the Wilson Profile SGI set which is made up of the same composition as the XD set and the only real difference is in the styling of the bags and clubs with the SGI set coming with a cart bag.

How Does The Wilson Women’s Set Match Up With The Callaway Strata?
Over the Callaway Strata are probably a better set of clubs for beginner women and improvers. We found that we were hitting the ball further and straighter with the Callaway set and the overall look and feel was a bit better.
We also can’t understand how Wilson think it is a good idea to make a set without a sand wedge when almost every course in the world has bunkers to contend with.
