In a small town in Louisville, Kentucky, Justin Louis Thomas was born on April 29, 1993. Since the age of 7, Justin had a dream of playing on the PGA Tour one day.

Justin grew up around golf. His father was an avid golfer along with his grandfather. Justin’s father, Mike is the head golf professional at Harmony Landing which is in Goshen, Kentucky.

Of course with his father in the industry, it is no doubt Justin grew to love the game. The more time he spent on the course, the more fond of it he became.

In addition to his father’s place in the game, his grandfather Paul Thomas played in the US Open in 1962 and in 1982 he played in the Senior US Open.

But according to Paul, it was neither Mike nor Paul who pushed Justin to get involved in the game – they just encouraged and answered questions when necessary.

Before starting high school, Justin played in the Wyndham Championship on the PGA Tour in 2009. At just 16-years old, Thomas became the third-youngest male to make the team for a PGA Tour Event.

Two years later, Justin graduated from St Xavier High school and went on to study at the University of Alabama where he played for the college team.

In addition to his impressive achievements thus far, he placed first six times for the Crimson Tide.

At the age of 20, Justin turned professional and he received his tour card through qualifying school. And at just 21, he won his first event at the 2014 Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship and later received his PGA Tour card for the 2015 event.

It seems as though Thomas was just getting started. In early November 2015, he won his first professional victory on the PGA Tour by winning the CIMB Classic in Malaysia. He went on to defend in 2016, winning the title for the second year in a row.

In 2017, Justin Thomas fought to victory again taking his third PGA win at the SBS Tournament of champions. The week following his amazing victory, he went on to make history by becoming the 7^th golfer to shoot a 59 at the Sony Open in Hawaii.

He went on to break some more records at the 2017 US Open. Later that year, he won his first major at the PGA Championship by winning in two shots, and in September 2017, Justin Thomas became the FedEx Cup Champion.

Up until this point, Thomas was on an all-winning streak. In 2018 he lost in a sudden-death playoff between Phil Mickelson but that didn’t stop his ranking. He moved to number two in the world ranking, making that the best career ranking he has had.
