But there was a time when the Dunlop name was synonymous with high quality golf gear – including golf clubs.
Brief History of Dunlop Golf
The parent company for Dunlop Sports was founded in Ireland in 1888. They made a variety of products including golf clubs but were only popular in the United Kingdom. That changed in the 1930’s when Dunlop started gaining popularity in the States for their golf balls and golf clubs.
However, Sumitomo Rubber Industries (SRI) bought Dunlop Golf in 2017. Since then, the popularity of Dunlop clubs has waned considerably because SRI also owns brands like Srixon that get more focus, marketing and resources than Dunlop.
Are Dunlop Golf Clubs Still Being Made? Who Makes Them?
Yes, Dunlop golf clubs are still being made; but with much less volume than before. They aren’t as readily available as they once were. They are still made by Dunlop under the SRI conglomerate though. Today, they are known more as a bargain brand that is ideal for beginners and casual players.

The Dunlop DDH Golf Club set comes with a nice cart bag that, at the very least, seems like it will last a long time. The Dunlop DDH Golf Club set comes with all the clubs you need to play a full round on a par 4 or 5 course.
It’s also very affordable. The clubs also seem to be very well made. They sport a chrome/orange color scheme that makes them stand out; but not too much.
Driver Review
The Dunlop DDH Golf Club set comes with a really nice oversized titanium driver set to 10.5°. At impact, it sounds and feels very crisp. You can feel exactly where on the face you made contact.
Irons Review
The Dunlop DDH Golf Club set includes a complete set of stainless steel cavity back irons. These irons play very long and have an oversized profile so they’re easy to hit. The feedback is a bit muddled but the sweet spot is very bing so they are very forgiving.
Hybrids Review
The Dunlop DDH Golf Club set only comes with one hybrid set at 24 degrees. It’s made of stainless steel and is easy to hit with; but it produces a lot of spin so slicing and hooking was unfortunately easy.
Who is it for?
This golf club set is a good choice for beginners because it is affordable and will give beginners enough distance to actually get down the fairway.

#2 – Dunlop Vista Golf Clubs Review
It may be difficult to get your hands on a set of Dunlop Vista Golf Clubs in 2023. But if you can, you should know that this is a solid set of game improvement clubs. You will probably only be able to find this complete set used so the configuration may vary. In general though, you should look for a set that consists of a driver, 3-wood, 5-wood, irons 5-9, PW and the blade style putter.
Driver Review
The driver feels really solid at impact and naturally launches high. The dispersion is also quite tight as it feels like there may be some perimeter weighting in the head. At any rate, mis-hits near the toe and heel feel abnormally stable with the Dunlop Vista driver.
Irons Review
The irons are the most impressive clubs in this bag. They feature deep cavity backs so they are exceptionally forgiving and launch high effortlessly. They also feel really solid at impact and are very addicting to swing.
Who is it for?
The Dunlop Vista Golf Club set is a good choice for high handicappers who are looking for a combination of forgiveness and easy launch.

#3 – Dunlop Attack Golf Clubs Review
The Dunlop Attack Golf Club set includes a driver, two fairway woods, a hybrid, irons 6-9, pitching wedge and a putter. Again, you can really only find this set used in 2023; but the whole set is oversized so each club is remarkably easy to hit.
Driver Review
Against all odds, the Dunlop Attack driver is a 420cc driver. But when you look down at it behind the ball, it looks as girthy as a 460cc driver. This is a titanium driver so you get good stability from it on basically all kinds of strikes. The face profile is nice and deep so you don’t have to worry so much about thinning the ball off the tee – at least, I didn’t.
Plus, it comes with a stock graphite shaft that feels very light and fast. I was getting pretty good club head speed from this driver which translated to good overall distance.
Irons Review
The irons give you a ton of sweet spot to work with. They are cast from stainless steel so while they don’t offer a super-smooth feel, they are durable and forgiving.
Hybrid
The Dunlop Attack Golf set comes with a 21° stainless steel hybrid that feels a bit tinny at impact; but does not punish mis-hits with wide divergence.
Who is it for?
The Dunlop Attack golf club set is a good choice for any player who wants to make sure that their irons are forgiving.

#4 – Dunlop Tour Elite Golf Set Review
The Dunlop Tour Elite is possibly the most technologically advanced collection of clubs on our list. Again, it is a bit difficult to find, but if you can, it is a game improvement set that stands up to GI sets made by more popular golf OEMs.
Driver Review
The driver has a titanium construction and variable thickness face. This makes it very forgiving and a good choice for players who tend to use the entirety of the face. It’s set to 10.5°.
Irons Review
The Dunlop Tour Elite irons have a progressive undercut cavity that is very deep in the long irons but gets shallower in the shorter irons. This improves launch and distance in the long irons and control in the short irons.
Hybrid Review
The 21° hybrid included in the Dunlop Tour Elite set has a forged stainless steel construction which makes it incredibly consistent and gives it a soft feel.
Who is it for?
The Dunlop Tour Elite set is ideal for mid handicappers who want a great deal on a high-performance set of clubs.

The Dunlop DDH Golf Balls are two-piece golf balls which are ideal for distance and efficient swing energy transfer. They feature an elastic ionomer cover and a low compression rating.
At impact, they feel very soft and sort of sink into the club face. But they are great for range sessions or practice with your long irons.

Final Thoughts
It’s clear that Dunlop still makes good game improvement golf clubs.
The only downside is that they are hard to find these days. But if you spot a set for sale and you aren’t a scratch player, they are definitely worth a look.
