The Taylormade Stealth is a one size fits all game improvement iron that promises distance, easy launch, forgivness, consistency and stopping power around the greens. The key features that stands out immediately is the toe wrap construction,.

The Cobra LTDx is somewhere between a game improvement iron and a players distance iron and the feature that stands out immediately is the PWR-Cor steel bar which runs along the blade of the club and in the heel up to the hosel area.

The LTDx have strong lofts for excellent distance, are lower launching and also workable around the greens.

Taylormade Stealth Overview

The Toe Wrap construction is the key new feature in Taylomade’s new Stealth irons.

It removes weight from the toe area and places it in the sole for more distance and a higher launch. The toe wrap also offers stability and increased flex to the club face.

The Cap back is a hollow, multi material badge that sits behind the face and increases the sound and feel of the irons.

It encapsulates an echo dampening system which is bigger than in the Sim 2 and this dampens any unwanted vibrations from the club on off center hits.

Inverted cone technology expands the sweet spot along the blade and the thru slot speed pocket ensures ample ball speed for strikes low on the face.

The irons are clearly game improvement with the thick soles and chunky topline but they still look gorgeous in the back with the attractive and unique design.

The steel in the face has also had an upgrade to the new 450 steel which promotes faster ball speeds and is placed with A.I in the exact spots where golfers most often hit the ball off the face of the club.

Overall a high launching, long, forgiving and easy to hit set of irons with excellent turf interaction for high to mid handicappers.

Cobra LTDx Irons Overview

Cobra took a survey to see what their fans wanted with the Cobra LTDx irons and the answer was no surprise: More Distance And Better Feel

Along these lines, the LTDx irons were born and the feature that jumps out immediately is the PWR-Cor steel bar which runs low along the face. It increases the distance substantially for the clubs and it is coated in polymer with dampens the vibrations and gives a smoother feel.

The CNC milled grooves offer excellent stopp power around the greens and the LTDx irons mark a big improvement over the Radspeeds for us.

The stealths will give you every advantage on the course in terms of distance, forgiveness and consistency but also have stopping power and are higher launching than the LTDx.

The LTDx irons are a marked improvement from the Radspeed, they are longer, more workable and more fogviging.

A mid handicapper who wants maximum distance and those with high swing speeds will benefit most from the LTDx.

For us the Stealht irons will be the better choice for the majority of golfers.
