Kvv 3 Wheel Golf Push Cart Review Guide

It seems like a lot of golf push cart manufacturers try to make their products overly complicated to compensate for something.

It almost feels like they are trying to cater to players who wish they could get an automatic cart but are constrained by their budget.

So they make these monstrous push carts that have so many needless bells and whistles that they are almost useless.

Today though, we are going to be talking about one push cart that we tested that actually felt like it was designed by a player. More importantly, a player that felt totally comfortable and happy using a push cart.

First Impressions of the Kvv 3 Wheel Golf Push Cart

We had high hopes for this push cart right out of the box because much to our surprise, it didn’t look loaded down with a bunch of superfluous features.

And sure enough, it was light (just over 18 pounds), lean and easy to set up.

After loading one bag into this cart, we could also tell that it was going to be stable – the rear wheels are set nice and far apart from each other.

Kvv Features of the Kvv 3 Wheel Golf Push Cart

We’re no fans of gimmicky features and we’re happy to report that everything on the Kvv 3 Wheel cart has a practical purpose.

First the essentials. The Kvv 3 Wheel cart has two 12” rear wheels made of ethylene vinyl acetate which means you will never have to inflate them and they are plenty durable.

Then, the front wheel swivels freely so you can change direction at will.

The handle is adjustable but no one in our group had to fiddle with it. But we suppose that especially tall or short players will appreciate this feature more than we did.

There are 2 sets of elastic straps connected to brackets at the top and near the front wheel of this cart that secure the bag.

This was probably our biggest gripe about this cart. The straps don’t seem very sturdy. However, after 3 rounds, we had no problem with our bags toppling off the cart or anything like that.

We just feel like the straps would have to be replaced after a few seasons.

That might not actually be the case though. Moving on, the Kvv 3 Wheel cart also has a nice little insulated cooler pouch for beverages and snacks and a harness for your golf GPS device – although some of us were putting our phone in it as well.

How Did it Perform?

From setup to actually getting around the course, we were very happy with the mobility and ease of use.

The setup is just a couple of moves: a release of the brake/lock and a gentle pull of the handle upwards while you hold the bottom portion down with your foot.

It snaps into place in an oddly satisfying manner.

It held fully-loaded bags ably and mobility was no issue at all. There is a foot brake that you can engage/disengage easily without stooping down and the wheels felt nice and smooth as we trekked up the course

The Important Specs

The Kvv 3 Wheel has a lightweight yet sturdy aluminum frame and the handle is made of a comfortable thermoplastic elastomer.

Folded down, the Kvv 3 Wheel cart shrinks to 18.7 inches long, 16 inches wide and 30.5 inches tall so you will have no problem putting it in the trunk or backseat of your car.

How much does the Kvv 3 Wheel Golf Push Cart Cost?

The Kvv 3 Wheel Golf Push Cart can be had for around $250 at most major retailers. The nice thing is that there are no upsell options that drive up the price.

Other Carts to Consider

We’re way into simplicity but we know not everyone shares the same affinity. So here are some other carts that differ from the Kvv 3 Wheel Golf Push Cart.

Kvv 4 Wheel Foldable Golf Push Cart

Another push cart from Kvv, this would be a great choice if you prefer the added stability of 4 wheels on your cart.

We liked the open up compartment in the handle console because it was nice and roomy.

It’s made of the same sturdy yet lightweight aluminum frame but it does weigh one pound more than the Kvv 3 Wheel Golf Push Cart because of the added wheel

Pros:

  • Very stable
  • Large storage compartment
  • Umbrella holder

Cons:

  • More expensive

Caddytek CaddyCruiser One

This is another 4-wheel model from Caddytek.

The lower storage basket on this thing is even larger than the Kvv 3 Wheel cart and the bag locking system seems like it will last a lot longer.

Pros:

  • Secure locking system
  • Front wheels swivel
  • Very stable

Cons:

  • It’s bulky

Our Final Assessment

We really felt like whoever designed the Kvv 3 Wheel cart was actually enthusiastic about making a push cart.

The thing we really liked about the Kvv 3 Wheel Golf Push Cart is that it has all the essential features without anything that feels superfluous.

It gets around the course (even tough terrain) with no problem and stores away easily.

It is a little bit on the pricey side and the straps are questionable; but overall we really enjoyed our experience with the Kvv 3 Wheel cart and we think you will too.
