Callaway Apex 21 Pro Vs Callaway Rogue ST Pro Irons Review 2023

The technology in golfing irons continues to advance at a rapid pace and it has brought with it, an entirely new category of irons in recent years called the players distance iron.

The players distance iron offers a compact head and players profile while still offering long distance, forgiveness, control, workability and feel.

The Rogue St Pro irons look like a muscle back but play more like a game improvement iron, they are narrow compact and slim at address but also provide a lot of distance for consistent mid to low handicappers.

The Apex 21 Pro are the best of the best tour irons from Callaway, they are not as long as the Rogue St Pros but have that buttery soft feel that the best players will love, workability and control, with suprisingly long distances for an iron with this profile.

Callaway Rogue St Pro Irons Overview

A Compact Players Profile Iron that performs more like a game improvement iron, the Rogue St Pro will offer more confidence at address for consistent mid handicappers than the Apex 21 Pro’s.

The Rogue St Pro is somewhere between the Taylormade P790 and the P770 while the Apex Pro 21 is certainly more like the players P770.

The Rogue St Pro’s compact heads will suit better strikers and they are jam packed with technology that makes them longer than the Apex 21 Pro’s, feel amazing and offer impressive consistency, speed and distance for an iron of this shape.

The clubs have an A.i Optimized Flash cup face that delivers incredible ball speed while the tungsten weighting allows for solid shots when hit towards the heel.

Urethane is now included up to the 6th groove and that is what gives these club a soft feel. They sound great and you will be most impressed by the distance they generate.

The clubs offer a high launch with low and consistent spin rates but they also launch high, have a high apex height and land steeply on the green which is going to give them plenty of stopping power.

These are the longest players irons ever released by Callaway and mid handicappers who strike the ball well, shouldnt be put off by the pro in the title, the irons are quite forgiving for the size and shape with up to 188% more tungsten than we saw in the Mavriks

Overall, very impressive players distance iron from Callaway and certainly worth a try for consistent strikers.

Callaway Apecx 21 Irons Overview

The Apex Pro irons are aimed at low single digit handicappers and scratch golfers, there design is all about speed, forgiveness and feel in a compact players iron.

There is a lot of technology going on with these irons which have a 1050 forged hollow body construction. They have urethane microspheres inside which helps to generate exceptional feel and makes them feel like a 1 piece iron.

Strong Lofts: The Callaway Max benefits from stong lofts, the 7 iron is 27.5 Degrees and its another reason why the clubs are so long.

Improved Sound And Feel: Callaway have added more urethane microspheres to enhance the sound and feel of the clubs, it now runs up to the 6 groove in the irons and gives a softer feel and nice sound on impact.
