Brittany Linicome: Early Life And Parents

Brittany Grace Linicome grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was born on the 19^th of September 1985 to her parents, Tony and Angie Linicome. She is the only girl of three children, with two brothers named Hunter and Bryan.

Linicome was home schooled and graduated from high school the Spring prior to turning professional in 2004.

Brittany started loving the game of golf at a young age, resulting in a very successful amateur career.

She played in over 100 amateur events and won a few of them, namely the American Junior Golf Association Chateau Elan in 2001 and 2003, the Avilla Junior classic in 2003 and the Harder Hall Invitational in 2004.

Linciome decided to turn professional in December of 2004 when she was just 19 years old.

The decision was made after competing in the U.S. Women’s Open and the State Farm Classic on the LPGA Tour as an amateur.

It was during these tournaments her talent really shone and she decided it was time to take it a step further.

The American golfer’s very first win took place at the 2006 HSBC Women’s World Match Play Championship where she conquered Juli Inkster in the final.

After that, the ball continued rolling where she gained another victory in 2007 at the Ginn Open.
