If you’re going to go with a push cart, you should choose one that is as convenient and helpful as possible. A lot of people may chalk up bad rounds of golf to just being “off” that particular day but your gear may have a lot to do with your performance.

Think about it – if you are lugging a heavy and cumbersome bag or pushing around a stubborn and unwieldy cart you are putting a lot of strain on your body. That strain can easily translate to an altered swing which will in turn lead to more strokes.

And with many courses and clubs temporarily banning the use of power carts due to the COVID-19 pandemic, more and more people are looking up push carts. So we wanted to review one that shows a lot of promise to help make your decision easier. Let’s see if this Caddytek push cart lives up to the hype.

First Impressions of the Caddytek Caddycriuser One

When we unboxed the Caddytek Caddycruiser One we were a bit daunted because it seemed like we were going to have to put in a lot of time for assembly. But when all was said and done it only took us about 15 minutes to put everything together and get the Caddytek Caddycruiser One ready to go.

When it was all put together and we stood back and gave it a good once-over, we have to say that it didn’t look like much.

The design is pretty standard (we chose the black color option) and other than the 4 wheels and the cooler pouch, it didn’t seem like it was a standout push cart. But the Caddytek Caddycruiser  really shines when it is actually being used on the cours

Key Features of the Caddytek Caddycruiser One

The first feature we should point out (and one we alluded to in the previous section) is that the Caddytek Caddycruiser One has 4 wheels. The rear wheels are slightly larger (11.5” in diameter) than the front wheels (10.5” in diameter).

And the front wheel axle actually has a suspension system. The wheels are made of molded plastic so there is no need to inflate them. You also get a cooler pouch right above the rear wheels, perfect for cold beverages and snacks.

There is an additional storage pouch for your knickknacks, a cell phone holder, golf tee slots, a scorecard holder and a mesh net. Your golf bags are held in place by a couple of bungee cords and the push handle height can be adjusted.

The frame stands about 27 inches wide when it is unfolded and is made of durable and lightweight aluminum. There is also a foot break next to the rear left wheel so you can lock the cart in place when you need it stationary.

Performance

So what do the 4 wheels, front suspension and 27” stance amount to on the course? Stability. The Caddytek Caddycruiser One handles like a dream on the course. The shock absorbers on the front wheels keep your bags and items stable even when you are in unkempt course territory.

The offset wheel sizes also make the Caddytek Caddycruiser One easy to turn and navigate on the turf or on the walkways.

The whole thing unfolds with just one motion: place your foot firmly on a front wheel and pull the handle up towards you. The unit locks into place with a click and you’re ready to go. It folds down just as easy: hold the handle button down while you push downward.

The dimensions of the Caddytek Caddycruiser One when it is folded down are a compact and convenient 16.9” wide, 26.4” long and 14.2” tall.

Storage

The Caddytek Caddycruiser One affords ample storage space. There is an upper mesh pouch which is good for your gloves, balls, wallet and other small items. Then there is a larger pouch near the rear wheels good for apparel and larger items.

There is a small insulated cooler built into the larger bottom pouch which was able to fit up to five 12 ounce cans. On the top tray you get a slot that conveniently holds your phone in an upright position and a scorecard holder.

Weight

Even with the 4 wheels and suspension system, the Caddytek Caddycruiser One weighs only about 17 pounds with no bags or items loaded onto it.

Price

At most retail stores or online, you can expect to pay around $160 for a brand new Caddytek Caddycruiser One which is great value.

Final Assessment

The thing we liked the most about the Caddytek Caddycruiser One is that it provided exceptional stability. If there’s one thing we hate about push carts it’s that they tend to be flimsy and unstable. They topple over very easily which is both inconvenient and embarrassing on the course.

The 4-wheel design and front suspension system of the Caddytek Caddycruiser One make it very stable so it instills confidence in the user. We definitely think it is worthwhile if you are in the market for a golf push cart so check it out for yourself!
