Wosports Rangefinder Reviews – W600 vs H100 vs H111 – Are They Any Good And Which Is Best?

Wosports Rangefinder Banner

As the technology in golf rangefinders advances, every now and again a company comes along offering quality products with features that were advanced only a year or two ago and they are selling them at knock down prices.

Wosports is one of these quality budget range finding companies and they make products that are wholly dedicated for golf and ones for hunting and other industries.

After we had seen all the 5 stars and Amazon and positive reviews for the golfing community, we couldn’t wait to take two of the top Wosports rangefinders onto the course and see which one was better and more importantly whether either of them was worth spending your hard earned money on.

The H100 Key Features Reviews

Wosports Rangefinder Review

The Wosport H100 is a well presented lightweight and compact rangefinder that comes with an external 3v CR2 battery, a carry case, a rubber grip and comfortably adjustable viewfinder and a class 1 laser that is exceptional for the price.

The H100 will easily fit in your pocket with dimensions of: 2.8 x 0.8 x 1.6 inches and a weight of around 6 ounces, this is one of the lightest and most compact.

Speed And Accuracy

WoSports H 100AG

We took this out on the course and it was always within 1 or 2 yards of some much more expensive rangefinders. It locked onto the target quickly but we weren’t able to lock in multiple targets like some better rangefinders. The speed at which it locked on is ample even though it is not as fast as some others high end rangefinders

Pin Lock And Vibration

Pin lock and vibration come as standard with this budget rangefinder and it can lock onto the flag within 180 yards and it can target objects up to 650 yards away. These features would have been considered top of the range just a few years back and the H100 works as well as many other high priced rangefinders

Slope

You can use this rangefinder with slope or without slope but the slope cannot be “turned off” per say for tournaments but this is perfect for a weekend hacker or a serious amateur. The slope adjusted distance were pretty close to the TecTecTec VPRO500 and we were very happy with how it worked.

Battery

We have an external 3v CR2 battery in the H100 and this will last for many many rounds if you buy a good so no complaints on that side of the equation either. The battery actually improves on the W600 but we will get to that later.

Scan Modes

There are various modes you can use with the H100 as follows:

WoSports H100 Features

M1 Range Mode: allows you to free scan the golf course and get distances of any targets around the course or measure out your layup shot.

M2 Pin Lock Mode: will automatically detect the flag stick and vibrate when it locks on, measuring the distance. I have to say that the vibration mode is something that is a must have for me after only being released not so long back. It is certainly reassuring to get a vibration when the pin is locked in and you don’t have to continue scanning.

M3 Slope Mode: takes the gradient into account allowing you to more accurately measure the correct club to use for your shot. Slope mode shows the distance with the slope and without in both metres and yards and again we were pleased with the accuracy.

M4 Speed Mode: This mode isn’t really related to golf, I think it is more for finding out the speed that a target is moving for hunting. We did try to track the speed of some carts but it wasn’t much use.

Who is The H100 for?

This is for a bargain hunter, a high handicapper who is looking for an entry level rangefinder or maybe someone who has lost a more expensive one and is looking for a top quality entry level replacement.

We would have put an approximate price tag of closer to 200 or 250 on this one and at $110 you really can’t go wrong. Even when dropped or fumbled around it is a sturdy and robust rangefinder that should last a good couple of years.

The H100 is actually an upgrade to the W600 although you will pay around $30 extra it is a better rangefinder long term.

The W600 is an absolute steal at $80. If you have lost a rangefinder and want to replace it on the cheap, this is the one for you.

The H100 is lighter, more compact and it has a better design.

The Latest And Greatest From Wosports – The Wosports H111

The H111 is the latest upgrade from Wopsorts and it is pushing into the budget category as opposed to the cheap category but the extra couple of bucks, you get a ton of extra features.

The H111 has a range of up to 800 yards as opposed to 650 with the H100 and it also has a continuous span mode, locks onto the targets quicker and it has the expected pin lock, vibration and slope correction.

The one thing we don’t like about this upgrade is the built in lithium battery. It is a more powerful and better battery, but we know from experience that replaceable batteries are usually much better as once a built in battery breaks, you usually need to get a new rangefinder.

The design, speed and responsiveness is better on the H111 but with the built in battery we are going to stick to recommending the H100 and the W600 and if we had to pick one, it would be the H100. A quality, durable rangefinder, for a great price.

Conclusion

All of these rangefinders have the same class of laser and as you move up through the models, you get better design, more compact and any issues with the previous model corrected. That being said, we wouldn’t usually recommend a rangefinder with a built in battery.

The W600 and the H100 are more than ample for weekend warriors and even serious amateurs. These are budget rangefinders that are built to last and we suggest to go for it if you are currently sitting on the fence.
