Driver

As usual, we start with the driver of the Tour Edge Bazooka 470. This 460CC, 10.5 driver features high moment of inertia face material. And for the beginners out there, high moment of inertia is ideal for minimizing twisting upon impact which can waste club head speed and minimize distance.

So no matter how you square up to the tee, the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 driver will help you hit the ball straighter and with more power.

Woods

The Tour Edge Bazooka 470 set comes with 2 fairway woods: a number 3 and a number 5. The 3 wood is set to 15 degrees of loft and the 5 wood is set to 19 degrees. But the beauty is in the head design of these woods.

They are much more aerodynamic than other beginner woods. They seem to preserve a maximum amount of swing speed and the shallow face design helps shots stay truer even with high lofts.

Hybrids

Beginners rejoice: the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 set comes with a #4 and #5 hybrid. These hybrids also feature a shallower face for enhanced accuracy and a better sound. Overall, these hybrids are very easy to hit with. They come in 22 and 25 lofts respectively.

Irons

The irons of the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 set feature deeper undercuts, perimeter weighting and a center of gravity placed in the lower corner of the head. All of that equals more forgiveness even from tough lies.

You get irons 6-9 and they are set to 28, 32, 36 and 41 degrees of loft respectively. The expanded blades (wider) of these irons effectively enlarge the sweet spot for better results from off-center shots.

Wedges

You get both a pitching wedge and a sand wedge in the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 set. The pitching wedge is set to 46 degrees of loft and the sand wedge is set to 55. The wedges also feature a larger sweet spot and deep undercuts; making them a breeze to use even for beginners.

We had the “opportunity” to test these wedges from some pretty infuriating lies and were impressed with how they performed. The weighting was perfect for full swings that didn’t dig too much but still managed to rescue our balls.

Putter

The putter brings the set full-circle with its high moment of inertia face. It promotes accuracy and feel above all in a mallet-style head. When we tested the putter, we were amazed at how effortlessly we were able to follow through smoothly even on shorter shots.

Club Composition

The driver of the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 set features a high-performance titanium head while the irons are made of stainless steel. You can get these clubs with all graphite shafts. You can also opt for graphite shafts in the woods and driver and steels shafts for the irons to suit fast and slow swing speeds.

Set Options

As stated in the previous section, you can choose all graphite shafts or a graphite/steel combination. There is also a Uniflex option.

As of this writing the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 set comes only in right-handed orientation and standard length. But generally, these clubs should fit men between 5’8” and 6’3”.

Final Assessment

There really aren’t too many areas in which this set is lacking. It has some of the advanced features you would expect to see in much more expensive sets but still manages to account for the shot tendencies of beginners.
