Titleist Tsi3 vs Tsi4 Drivers Review & Comparison

Titleist makes some of the best drivers in the game. That’s why Tour pros like Justin Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth use them.

Still, there are a lot of options if you are considering buying a Titleist driver. As always, your decision should be based on the needs of your game.

Are you having trouble launching the ball? Do you need to focus on distance? Or do you want to be able to shape your shots better? You have to answer all these questions and then sort through all the features of various drivers.

That’s a daunting task to be sure but to help you out, we have put together this comparison review.

An Overview Of Both Drivers

You may already know the Tsi line of Titleist drivers. They are famous for utilizing aerospace-grade titanium for their faces.

While there are a lot of similarities in terms of composition, the Tsi3 and Tsi4 are not for the same types of players.

The Tsi3 is certainly more forgiving and feels more like a traditional driver while the Tsi4 felt better in the hands of our testers with faster swings.

Titleist Tsi3 Key Features

The Titleist Tsi3 features a sliding track weight that allows you to change up the CG.

There are 5 CG positions including neutral, heel and toe. The driver head also has a unique streamlined shape with a 460cc volume.

Titleist Tsi4 Key Features

The Titleist Tsi4 features a Surefit hosel so you can adjust loft and lie angles. It sports a pear shaped, 430cc head.

Just like the Titleist Tsi3 driver, the Tsi4 has an aerospace-grade titanium face but unlike the Tsi3, the Tsi4 has a low and forward CG placement.

Similarities and Differences

The Titleist Tsi3 and Tsi4 both flex very well at impact thanks to the titanium face. They also both feature an adjustable hosel.

The main differences are that the Titleist Tsi3 has a sliding weight while the Tsi4 has an interchangeable weight.

The CG of the Tsi3 can be adjusted but is generally low and back in the head while the Tsi4 is low and forward to reduce spin.

Titleist Tsi3 Vs. Titleist TS3

The Titleist TS3 driver features stronger lofts and an adjustable sweet spot. The TS3 does not have an adjustable track weighting and is predicated on offering maximum forgiveness to higher handicap players.

Titleist Tsi4 Vs. Titleist TS4

The TS4 and the Tsi4 are a lot more similar than the Titleist Tsi3 and the TS3. Both the Tsi4 and the TS4 have low and forward CG to reduce spin off the tee.

The TS4 also has a 430cc head – the same as the Titleist Tsi4.

Who Is Each Driver For?

The Titleist Tsi3 will surely feel better in the hands of mid – high handicappers.

It has a large head, expansive sweet spot and the customizable CG track weighting will help cover a multitude of bias sins.

The Titleist Tsi4 offers more forgiveness than the Tsi 3 by reducing spin off the tee.

It would be congenial for players who can stand to lose a little in terms of loft.

Performance Distance & Feel Comparison

The feel of both of these drivers was almost identical. The ATI 425 grade titanium face feels solid and responsive on contact. Distance was relative.

Our faster swing speed testers were getting more distance from the Titleist Tsi4 while our slower swing testers benefited from the Tsi3.

Accuracy & Consistency Comparison

The sliding CG weight of the Titleist Tsi3 definitely made it more accurate for everyone in our testing party.

However, the more compact head of the Titleist Tsi4 made it more consistent drive after drive.

Price Comparison

Both of these drivers retail for pretty much the same amount at most retailers.

In most cases, both the Titleist Tsi3 and the Tsi4 will cost you about $550.
