The Titleist T300 irons are a gorgeous moderately sized profile, which produces exceptional distance without sacrificing forgiveness. However, the TaylorMade Stealth HD irons encourage straighter flight and focus their attention on accuracy over yardage.
TITLEIST T300 OVERVIEW
Titleist refers to the T300 range as player improvement irons, built to maximize your distance, elevate launch and still forgive mishits.
These irons are equipped with mid-strength lofts, bearable for the average player to launch, but they are stronger than pure game improvement irons.
Besides their distance, I enjoyed a solid feel, clean turf interaction, and explosive ball speed while testing the T300 range. Ultimately they perform like players’ distance irons but forgive like they are game improvement clubs.
TAYLORMADE STEALTH HD OVERVIEW
The TaylorMade Stealth HD are the most forgiving irons in the set.
Their HD tag stands for high draw. It helps high handicappers minimize slices and generate straighter shots for improved accuracy on approach.
In addition, the Stealth HD possesses extremely low CG to promote a higher launch and helps slower swing speeds keep their ball airborne for longer.
OVERVIEW CONCLUSION
After my initial tests with both golf clubs, it is clear the distance performance of the Titleist T300 irons is made for mid-handicappers.
These irons produce exceptional distance without hampering leniency and consistency.
Conversely, the draw bias, forgiving TaylorMade Stealth HD irons are created for high handicap golfers seeking improved accuracy. The offset profile of the clubheads helps higher handicappers square the clubface at contact for a straighter shot.
TITLEIST T300 IRONS FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The Titleist T300 irons present a moderately sized profile, which is more attractive than standard game improvement irons.
However, their reduced construction does little to impact its performance, delivering rapid ball speed, a high launch, and maximum distance on approach shots.
I also enjoyed its solid feel for better feedback over other game improvement irons and welcomed its enhanced MOI. This helped me resist twisting during my swing to keep the clubface square leading into impact, promoting straight flight.
TITLEIST T300 KEY TECHNOLOGY
40% More Tungsten
The T300 is equipped with 40% more tungsten than previous Titleist irons, boosting stability and MOI. This helped the clubface remain stable at impact to generate rampant ball speed across an extended area.
Max Impact Technology
Titleist engineers roped in their successful Max Impact Technology to enhance energy transfer and contact. However, they added a twist and fitted it with an improved polymer core.
The core improved energy transfer from the clubface to the golf ball, resulting in an improved coefficient of restitution (COR). This led to accelerated ball speed and a high launch on most strikes for greater consistency.
Variable Face Design
My distance was further aided by the Variable Face Design. Titleist designed the face thinner towards the heel, where amateurs often catch the golf ball.
The thinner nature of the clubface allows the T300 mid and long irons to produce consistent ball velocity and spin on heel mishits.
Chrome Plated
The final touch on the T300 irons is a tour-inspired chrome plate finish. This creates an attractive, traditional finish, which all golfers can appreciate. However, it is not the best for resisting glare at address.

Contrary to the distance-boosting T300 irons, the Stealth HD is built to keep high handicappers straight for improved accuracy.
Plus, it carries a high launching design to help the average amateur get consistently airborne for optimal carry distance and a soft landing.
