TaylorMade’s New Qi4D Driver In PLay With Tommy And Rory In Abu Dhabi
What We Know About The Club Release
Right, so TaylorMade has just dropped their new Qi4D driver lineup, which includes the standard Qi4D, the Qi4D LS for low spin lovers, and the Qi4D Max for more of the Sunday Joes.
They all recently made the USGA conforming list, so you’ll see the new Taylormade options on the range and tee boxes very soon and already in play at the Abu Dhabi Championship where Rory McIlroy was swinging the standard Qi4D and Tommy Fleetwood the LS model, very successfully too.

4 Verisons Are Coming To A Pro Shop Near You, Very Soon
There are three confirmed models to date: standard, LS, and Max, but there are already hints TaylorMade may expand that family further, potentially offering a fourth option for different player profiles.
For now though, the trio covers a good spread, from players wanting control, distance and low spin to those chasing max forgiveness and a higher launch.
It will be interesting to see exactly what is going in the head and design of these new drivers, here’s what we know so far.
Whats Different

OK, so these drivers are little more understated than the more vibrant QI35 from 2025 and we are hoping the performance of the range will replace the need for flashy colors to draw the golfers into the brand.
FIrst thing to note is that the Carbon face will continue which is a bit hit or miss with Golfers, but the sound is actually pretty good, having seen Rory swing the club already in Abu Dhabi.
The Standard QI4D model looks to have a 4 weight setting with two ports in the front and two in the year to give the fitters plenty of options for a wide range of golfers.
The Max Version will have two weight ports in the front and two in the back to get those ultimate forgiveness settings dialed in for the high to mid handicap golfers.
Looking at the LS Model, it has changed to a two weight system as well as opposed to the draw, nuetral, fade, posisitons that were in the QI35 LS.
The TaylorMade Strategy Behind The Scenes

Dropping these drivers just before and during the Abu Dhabi Championship tells a lot. TaylorMade wants these drivers seen and tested in real, pressure-filled conditions straight off the bat. It’s smart marketing and product validation rolled into one.
So yeah, the Qi4D drivers look like a solid step forward for TaylorMade. No doubt fans will be watching closely to see how they measure up and how that Carbon Face continues to improve and advance. More Details coming soon!
