Qwik-Fold 3 Wheel Golf Push Cart Review

Push/pull golf carts are still the norm on most courses even though there is a wealth of robotic and automated golf carts out there. If you are going to invest in a push/pull cart, you have to know whether or not it is convenient and reliable.

After all, you will be the one exerting all the energy. Luckily, these kinds of golf carts aren’t all that hard to figure out. You can tell pretty quickly which ones are worth their own salt and which ones aren’t. In most cases, you can determine the quality of a push/pull cart after the first couple of holes.

To compose today’s review, we tried a few different push/pull, 3-wheel carts to determine which one was the best. Well we found out which one was the best and have documented our findings for you in the following review.

The Key Features of the Qwik-Fold 3-Wheel Push Pull Golf Cart

The thing that stood out to us the most and the quickest about the Qwik-Fold 3-Wheel Push Pull Golf Cart was the stripped-down elegance of it. There are not too many bells and whistles on this thing which some people may find to be a drawback.

But for us, the last thing we want is to be fumbling around with a lot of attachments and being distracted on the course.

The Qwik-Fold 3-Wheel Push Pull Golf Cart features 3 ball-bearing wheels which glide pretty smoothly across turf and asphalt. So from the course to the walkway to the parking lot, this thing is not hard to push.

The rear wheels are 10 inches in diameter and the front wheel is 9 inches – large enough to easily climb over changing terrain but small enough not to be cumbersome. All three of the wheels are fixed in place to add to the overall stability of the unit.

The handle is height adjustable so it won’t put strain on your back or shoulders no matter how tall you are. The frame is aluminum which is a naturally lightweight and durable alloy.

And perhaps the best thing about the Qwik-Fold 3-Wheel Push Pull Golf Cart is that it folds down with the push of a button. When you need to use it again, all you have to do is lift the handle and the cart erects and snaps into shape.

Again, pretty streamlined and simple. In fact, the only decadent feature we can speak of with this cart is the umbrella holder.

As far as load capacity goes, we never reached its limit. We all used our full golf bags (most of which were complete with 14 clubs, balls, tees, phones and other accessories) and the Qwik-Fold 3-Wheel Push Pull Golf Cart held them all stably and sturdily.

We weighed the heaviest bag in our party to be 38 pounds and the Qwik-Fold 3-Wheel Push Pull Golf Cart carried it handily.

Weight

The golf cart itself (no bags or umbrella) weighs only about 17 pounds. It was easy to carry it out of the trunk and load it back up when we were done. The light weight also makes it easy to push through a full round of golf.

Comfortability

No complaints here. The adjustable height doesn’t put a strain on your body. The handle is comfortable. At the end of the round, none of us were sore so that was a good sign.

Price

In most cases, you will find that the Qwik-Fold 3-Wheel Push Pull Golf Cart is a reasonably priced cart. The hitch is that the price varies pretty wildly depending on which retailer you are buying from. We have seen the price for this cart as low as $129.

Still, there are some retailers that are selling the Qwik-Fold 3-Wheel Push Pull Golf Cart for upwards of $215. In our opinion, a fair price for a push cart of this quality would be somewhere in between $120 and $150.

Other Carts to Consider

While we liked the Qwik-Fold 3-Wheel Push Pull Golf Cart the most, it is not the only game in town. Ultimately, you may want all the bells and whistles that the Qwik-Fold 3-Wheel Push Pull Golf Cart lacks. Here are some of the honorable mentions we came across in our testing:

The Tangkula Electric Golf Push Cart

This is a motorized golf cart that does most of the pushing itself with its rear-wheel drive system. This cart also comes with an umbrella and scorecard holder.

Qwik-Fold 360

Another entry from Qwik-Fold, this particular cart has something that the Qwik-Fold 3-Wheel Push Pull Golf Cart is lacking: a swiveling front wheel. It features the same lightweight aluminum frame design with an additional foot brake feature which locks the cart firmly in place when needed.

Final Thoughts

The Qwik-Fold 3-Wheel Push Pull Golf Cart is a great cart to have if you prefer streamlined operation. It handled all kinds of terrain well, was easy to push, was able to carry our heaviest bags and easy to fold down and put away.

It’s hard to mess with a tried and true design and the Qwik-Fold 3-Wheel Push Pull Golf Cart definitely capitalizes on that. As far as 3-wheel manual push carts go, the Qwik-Fold 3-Wheel Push Pull Golf Cart has everything you need despite the lack of a pivoting front wheel.

If you are a casual golfer looking to make rounds more enjoyable and less taxing on your body, we highly recommend the Qwik-Fold 3-Wheel Push Pull Golf Cart. Check it out today!
