For women golfers, one of the toughest things to overcome is swing speed. Distance can be a huge hurdle from the tee and the deck. The Precise NX460 Ladies Womens Complete Golf Clubs Set addresses this issue.

The set comes with lightweight graphite shafts which are not only easy to swing; they flex to a high degree too. This means more ball speed. And when you are able to swing the club faster and generate more ball speed, 9 times out of 10, you will generate more distance too.

What you Get With the Set 

Driver

“The Precise NX460 Ladies Womens Complete Golf Clubs Set comes with a 460CC driver set at 13.5 degrees.”

We were taken aback at the launch of this driver. If you have been having trouble getting the ball into the air from the tee, you will absolutely love this driver.

Fairway Wood 

“You also get a #3 wood in this set which was a pleasant surprise.”

It was nice to see a longer wood in a beginner set of women’s golf clubs. Usually you see a 5 wood but the #3 wood in this set plays long and despite its length, is light enough for beginners and high handicappers.

Hybrid 

“The hybrid in this set was designed to launch high.”

And at 24 degrees of loft, launch high it certainly does. We liked the stepped sole design of this hybrid too. It makes it a viable option when you find yourself in the rough.

Irons

“The irons in this set are quite unique…”

First of all, you only get 2 irons. They include what Precise calls a 6/7 iron and an 8/9 iron. These are deep cavity back irons and even though you only get two of them, gapping isn’t an issue.

Wedges 

“The wedges in the Precise NX460 Ladies Womens Complete Golf Clubs Set have a chunky look at address.”

These are also cavity back clubs with thick soles that inspire confidence at point of address. They launch very high and much to our surprise, impart a lot of spin on the ball.

Putter

“The putter feels very well-balanced and provides good feedback.”

This is a single-bend putter which was a nice touch. It allows players to clearly align the ball and pick out their intended line. The Precise NX460 Ladies Womens Complete Golf Clubs Set putter skipped a bit; but we weren’t expecting excellence out of it anyway to be frank.

Club Composition 

All of the clubs save for the putter can be outfitted with graphite shafts. This is ideal for beginners and high handicappers because even though graphite isn’t as precise as steel, it helps with distance.

Club Options

As of the time of this writing there were not a lot of options to choose from. They come in right-handed with graphite shafts and with a light blue color scheme. The set also includes a nice stand bag.

Club Length

You can choose from standard ladie’s length or petite length. Petite will suit players 5’3” and shorter while the standard length should be good for players 5’3” to 5’10”.

How Do They Compare to Other Precise Ladies Sets?

Precise also makes the XD1 set which is more expensive than the NX450 but it includes irons 6-PW. This is definitely a set that would be better for mid handicappers. Then there is the Precise X1 Aspire golf club set.

One of the things that set the X1 Aspire set apart from the NX450 and the XD1 sets is the putter which produces a much quicker forward roll and has a nicer overall feel.

Alternatives to Consider

Cobra F-Max Ladies Set

The best thing about  the Cobra F-Max Ladies Set is the lightweight design. This is a set that will surely help increase your swing speed. Another thing we really liked was the durability of these clubs. Though you will pay a bit more for these clubs than the Precise NX460 clubs, you will most likely get longer use out of them as well.

Overall

Don’t get the wrong idea about these clubs – they are surely for beginners and high handicappers. But we put them through the wringer and we were impressed with the performance. This is a set that will get you through a full round for sure but it’s also a set that would be ideal for driving range sessions and classes. They give beginners the two things they need most: distance and confidence.
