The History of Ben Sayers

The Ben Sayers & Son company (now known simply as Ben Sayers) is said to have been founded in 1873 when Ben Sayers started making golf gear out of a shack in North Berwick, Scotland. Ben Sayers himself was a very good golfer and often instructed royalty!

Along with being an innovative golf club manufacturer, he was also a renowned golf course architect and instructor. Ben Sayers famously produced a putter specifically for legendary champion, Jack Nicklaus.

The company expanded as the decades passed – from making golf balls and golf clubs to making a wide variety of golf gear including bags and trolleys. The company operated from the original headquarters in North Berwick, Scotland for an amazing 126 years.

Today, the company is owned by Tandem Group but they still continue to make high-quality clubs and golf gear for a wide variety of players.
