Callaway Rogue ST Max Vs Callaway Paradym Drivers Review

The Rogue ST Max and Paradym drivers were released in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

In this post, I dive into the features and performance of the Callaway Rogue ST Max vs Callaway Paradym to see how much has changed in one year.

I’ll also explain which option best suits different skill levels to help you make the correct decision for your golf swing.

CALLAWAY ROGUE ST MAX VS CALLAWAY PARADYM DRIVER OVERVIEW

The Callaway Rogue ST Max launched in 2022, and impressed with its advanced stability.

This was prompted by a Tungsten Speed Cartridge, which increased moment of inertia (MOI) to promote a square clubface at impact.

In 2023, Callaway engineers released the Paradym driver, which showed their intent to create more carbon drivers. They retained popular technology like the Jailbreak Speedframe and A.I designed clubface for optimal launch, speed, and spin. Finally, they added an adjustable perimeter weight to the Paradym to alter your shot shape by up to 12 yards..

CALLAWAY ROGUE ST MAX KEY FEATURES

The Callaway Rogue ST Max jumped on the scene with high praise in 2022 due to its excellent features and performance-related results during testing.

When released last year, Callaway stated that it was the most stable driver ever made by their engineers.

I felt the effects of the 26-gram Tungsten speed cartridge because its lower Center of Gravity (CG), prompted a high launch and boosted MOI. As a result, I enjoyed an effortless launch, and the increased MOI promoted straighter shots.

In addition, the A.I. designed Jailbreak Speed Frame connected the driver’s sole to the crown to enhance stability and elevate ball speed across the clubface. Finally, the slight draw bias proved handy in fighting slices. A feature that mid and high-handicap golfers may enjoy.

CALLAWAY PARADYM KEY FEATURES

The Paradym driver is Callaway’s new kid on the block and is packed with carbon, reducing the sole mass by 44% compared to titanium.

Callaway also retained familiar features like their Face Cup technology, and a forged Titanium Face, for greater energy transfer and Coefficient of Restitution (COR). This factor increases ball speeds across any point on the driver’s face and elevates its forgiveness.

The 360 Carbon Chassis is undoubtedly the most significant change made by Callaway, following the likes of Taylormade’s newest drivers and their passion for Carbon material. Thanks to its weight savings, I found the Paradym produced superior MOI, to resist twisting and remain stable at impact.

The accuracy, forgiveness, low spin, and consistent ball speed resulted in impressive carry and total distance during testing.

Stock Shaft Paradym Options:

  • Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 6

SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES

Similarities

The first similarity we noticed is the A.I. Jailbreak Speed frame present in both drivers.

However, the Rogue ST contains a slightly broader bar for extra ball speed.

Next, both drivers have a Tungsten Speed Cartridge to deliver elevated forgiveness and a high MOI. Finally, the driver’s head carry the same size at 460cc, leaving you maximum surface area to strike the golf ball.

Differences

The most significant difference between the drivers is the clubface.

The Paradym sports Face Cup Technology with a Forged Titanium Face for added flex on mishits and rapid ball zip. The next factor is the price.

The Paradym goes for $600, placing it in the premium category. While still pricey, the Rogue ST goes for $50-$100 less. Finally, the Paradym driver head is lighter due to the 360-degree Carbon Chassis design for extra forgiveness and stability.

WHO IS EACH DRIVER FOR?

The Callaway Paradym and Rogue ST Max drivers suit mid-handicappers seeking forgiveness, accelerated ball speed, and a high launch.

In addition, these drivers produce exceptional MOI to resist twisting and enhance stability.

As a result, you enjoy an enlarged sweet spot which helps you preserve ball speed and lower spin on strikes across the clubface.

PERFORMANCE COMPARISON

During our testing, we noticed that the Rogue ST Max and Paradym produced similar high launch and neutral ball flights. However, the lighter chassis on the Paradym proved easier to swing and accelerate on the downswing, which may suit slow to moderate swing speed.

In addition, the drivers produced mid to low spin, which is ideal for the average golfer, but low handicappers may despise it.

Price Comparison

  • Callaway Rogue ST Max – $449.99
  • Callaway Paradym – $599.99

FINAL ASSESSMENT

During testing, I noticed that the Paradym is suited to players with mid to slow swing speeds owing to the expert design of the carbon chassis.

However, their high launch qualities, increased forgiveness, low spin, and accelerated ball speed are ideal for mid-handicap golfers.

While the Paradym is a beautiful-looking specimen, which really captured my attention. However, the lower price, forgiveness, and distance produced by the Rogue ST Max are hard to beat. As a result, it claims the title in our battle between the Callaway Rogue ST Max vs Callaway Paradym drivers.

If you’re in the market for a new driver that forgives, spins low, and springs off the clubface, you can look at the Callaway Rogue ST Max here.
