Callaway Edge Vs Callaway Strata Golf Club Set Review

If you are a high to mid handicapper looking for a set of golf clubs that will fit the needs of your game then you may have already taken a look at the Callaway Strata and Edge sets. But it can still be difficult to make sense of all the features.

Besides, it’s extremely difficult to figure out which set would be more beneficial for you without testing them side by side. So if you haven’t had the opportunity to do that, check out our comparison review of these 2 complete golf sets.

A Brief Intro To The Sets

The Callaway Strata family of clubs has long been the standard for beginner players. It comes in a wide array of compositions so you can essentially get the clubs you really need without having to pay for ones you don’t.

The Edge clubs can be seen as a successor to the Strata’s. They came out more recently and they have a slightly higher emphasis on mid-level performance. They may be more congenial to mid handicappers looking for more accuracy – especially in the irons.

Key Features of the Callaway Edge Set

Some of the best features of the Callaway Edge set come in the irons. Irons 6-9 sport a cavity back design which, is preferred by beginners.

They also feature second generation stabilizing arch technology which helps to increase face flex and ball speed while maintaining stability.

Key Features Of The Callaway Strata Set

The best features of the Callaway Strata set can be found in the woods.

The driver is full titanium which provides a large sweet spot. The woods sport an aerodynamic head shape which, should help beginner players get their club head speeds up.

What You Get With The Callaway Edge Set

Like the Strata set, the driver of the Edge set is made of full titanium. It has a very low and deep center of gravity which, will help promote better swing mechanics from the tee. It also comes outfitted with a lightweight graphite shaft.

3 Wood

The set comes with a 3 wood that also has a full titanium head. This fairway wood also features perimeter weighting to increase MOI and expand the sweet spot.

5 Hybrid

The hybrid is extremely forgiving and interacts with turf like a dream. It’s lightweight but still manages to play long.

Irons

You get irons 6-9 in the edge set, all with cavity backs. The shorter irons feature an aggressive groove design for better spin control around the pin.

Wedges
