The Best Center Shafted Putters for 2023

When it comes to your short game, any bit of extra help you can get can make a big difference. You may think all putters are more or less built the same but the putter you are currently using could be keeping your score higher than it needs to be.

If you have been experiencing frustration more than victory on the green you may want to look into a center-shafted putter. What is a center-shafted putter you ask? It’s exactly what it sounds like, actually: a putter whose shaft runs through the middle of the head as opposed to being attached at the heel.

A center-shafted putter can be a boon to your game because it balances the putter face better than heel-attached shafts. This makes it a lot easier to square up at impact and align the ball to take your intended path.

And since most center-shafted putters have larger, mallet style heads, they resist impact twisting a bit better. In short, a center-shafted putter could work wonders for the accuracy of your putts.

This being the case, we thought we’d take some time to dedicate to these kinds of putters and put together a list of the best center-shafted putters for 2023. Let’s get started!

#3 – MAZEL Tour GS Men’s Golf Putter – Best Budget

Selling Points:

  • CNC milled face
  • Low CG
  • Rubber grip

Mazel surprised us with the Tour GS3 putter. There is nothing special about the design or the materials used to make it (even though the mallet styling is pretty cool) so we thought it would perform just so-so. Instead, the Tour GS3 was very accurate and made the ball do almost everything we wanted it to.

The milled face offers incredible consistency which in turn, helps with forgiveness. Even if you mis-strike the ball, you will get the roll distance you were intending more often than not. It also features a comfortable rubber grip so it’s great for senior players as well.

The Tour GS3 is set to 3.5 degrees of loft has a lie of 72 degrees and weighs 375 grams. You won’t have to change much about your stroke with this putter.

Pros:

  • Good distance
  • Consistent face
  • Feels very stable

Cons:

  • Grip gets a little sweaty in hot conditions
  • A bit on the heavy side

Overall Rating: 96/100
