Best Affordable Golf Balls 2023
I’m probably not the only person who dedicated the summer of 2023 to improving at golf.
It is the perfect ‘social distancing’ sport if you ask me and I played a few rounds with friends who hadn’t played the sport in a couple of years.
We showed up for a four ball one morning and one of the crew who hadn’t played much in the past few years shows up with a dozen Titliest Pro V1’s as a very average golfer.
What’s worse is that it was a course where even the better players are going to lose some balls with plenty of water and long rough.
You coud see his face getting flush as he lost the $5 balls one after another, taking a drop instead of a second drive on more than one hole.
The fact of the matter is, he could have got 3 dozen very good balls for the price and a weekend hacker has no business using Pro V1’s.
As much as we hate to admit it, golf balls get lost. It seems like if you are playing often, you are going to need to be buying balls consistently.
The balance between getting a great golf ball and getting something that can perform can be difficult.
Luckily we have done some of the work for you and pulled together ten golf balls that are both affordable and great for your golf game.
By Affordable, we mean around $20 per dozen or even lower and we want performance as close to Pro V1’s as possible.
1. Callaway Golf Supersoft Magna Golf Balls, (One Dozen)
Potentially the most exciting thing about the Callaway Golf Supersoft Magna Golf Balls is the fact that they are larger than a standard golf ball. The rules of golf state that you must have a minimum size on a golf ball, but the maximum size does not matter so much.
The larger size of these golf balls gives them some excellent visibility, and it makes the game look easier at the address position. For a two-piece golf ball, this is one of the softest golf balls on the market.
The hex aerodynamic pattern will help to keep the ball straight even on the windy days. Overall this is an affordable golf ball that still has lots of performance.

2. Srixon Men’s Soft Feel Golf Ball
The Srixon Men’s Soft Feel Golf ball has been a great affordable choice for several years. The price on these golf balls is surprisingly low for the performance that it offers. The Soft Feel is a long golf ball that is intended to have a low spin and plenty of distance off the tee.
When you get around the greens, the last thing you want from a distance ball is for it to feel like it is made with rocks. You will not have that issue at all with the Srixon Soft Feel. You can get the performance and feel that you need around the greens just as much as you can off the tee.
The only place you will notice this golf ball lacks just a little bit is on the greenside spin. Two-piece golf balls tend to struggle with spinning a lot around the greens.

Snell golf balls are not always thought of as the leading golf ball manufacturer. Even though you may not have heard of this ball, it does not mean that you shouldn’t give it a try. This is a very low spinning golf ball that is perfect for golfers that slice or hook the golf ball.
Not only will the dimple pattern and thin cover on the Snell help you straighten out your shots, but you may need to purchase less of these affordable golf balls than you ever did before. The cover feels just a little hard if you are a slower swing player or a golfer how likes a lot of feel around the greens.

4. Vice Drive Golf Balls, White (One Dozen)
Vice has been creating a name for themselves in the last few years. They make an excellent product, and they can keep it quite affordable. If you have a medium to slightly fast swing speed, the Vice is a great choice to consider.
As you will see, the compression on the Vice golf ball is a bit higher than some of the other options on our list. If you don’t have some decent swing speed, this ball could end up feeling a bit hard. Other than that, we love the low spin off the tee and the way the dimple pattern helps this ball hold its ball flight.

7. Wilson Golf Tour Velocity 15 Golf Ball Pack, Men
The Wilson Golf balls are sometimes thought of as beginner or high handicapper golf balls. Although Wilson makes a wide range of products that work well for both of these groups, they also make some great affordable balls for the mid handicapper.
The Wilson Golf Tour Velocity is a 15 pack of low compression golf balls designed to get slower swinging players much more distance and roll off the tee. The ball is not going to be a top performer as far as spin around the greens is concerned. However, the Ionomer cover does help them to have some decent feel. Overall this is a golf ball that is not talked about as often as it should be.

One thing that makes the RB 566 stand out is the dimple pattern. This golf ball has a very complicated and intricate dimple pattern that is quite impressive. The pattern helps the ball to have a very low spin off the tee but plenty of spin around the greens.
It’s hard to find an affordable two-piece ball that reacts the way you want it to around the green. If you are a lower handicap golfer looking for an affordable ball, this could be a great choice to consider. You will not be disappointed by the performance that it offers.
