How do Pinemeadow Golf Clubs Perform?

To answer this question, we should break the clubs down into category starting with woods. We have tested a lot of Pinemeadow golf clubs in our time and revisited a select few for this company profile. What strikes us most about the woods is their forgiveness.

Most of their woods are made to help newer players stay on the fairway. They usually produce a very nice apex height and are usually very helpful for correcting a slice. While the sound is something that is consistently subpar with PGX woods, the distance and forgiveness is usually superb.

Pinemeadow irons can be a bit of an anomaly. Usually, they are oversized with cavity backs which of course, promotes forgiveness. But we have tested some PGX irons that have really surprised us in terms of workability.

It should be noted that there are some Pinemeadow clubs that occupy the mid-price tier; and some of their irons are priced as such. While always forgiving, some Pinemeadow irons provide moderate workability suitable for mid handicap players.

The short game is usually where Pinemeadow clubs falter. In particular, their putters usually don’t offer great feedback. However, MOI is almost always high and you get a good stable feel out of the putters. They certainly sacrifice sound, feel and feedback though.

What About Durability?

Durability is something that Pinemeadow has addressed over the last 5 years or so. When we first started testing their clubs, one complaint we had was that they didn’t seem very durable. The drivers scratched and dented easily and their irons were scuff magnets.

However, that is not the case in 2022. They have upped their production quality and while you still shouldn’t expect forged construction from their clubs, Pinemeadow clubs are a lot more durable now than they used to be.

Price & Value

As far as price goes, you would be hard-pressed to find more affordable clubs than Pinemeadow clubs. They offer their clubs at a fraction of the price as the major manufacturers like Callaway and Taylormade.

Their value has gone up along with their production quality too. Now, you can expect your Pinemeadow clubs to last for pretty much as long as it takes you to break 100.

Best Complete Set – Pinemeadow Zr 3.0 Complete Golf Club Set

The irons are really what blew us away with this set. They feature deep cavity backs to promote forgiveness but more mass placed in the toe to help correct errant shots. Our high handicap testers absolutely loved these irons as they produced absolute bombs and stayed on the fairway.

The woods in this set also have a nice low CG which produces high launch. This would be a great set for anyone who is looking for a good combination of accuracy and distance. The clubs come in senior, regular, stiff, extra stiff and ladies flex. They also come in left or right-handed orientation.

• The irons chunk easily

What we really liked about the Pinemeadow Excel EGI Hybrids was that they were excellent from the rough. In terms of price, these are rescue hybrids that punch above their weight class. They would be great for anyone looking for an excellent rescue hybrid as the sole cuts through tall cabbage like a dream.

You can choose from a wide variety of lofts too including 19, 22, 25, 28, 32 and 36 degrees. All the hybrids come with a very comfortable and light Pinemeadow graphite shaft which improves flex and comfort even on mis-hits.

Best Fairway Woods – Pinemeadow PGX Offset Golf Fairway Woods

The Pinemeadow PGX Offset Golf Fairway Woods brings all the benefits of the offset driver to the deck. Actually a lot of our testers really liked the PGX Ofset 3 wood from the tee as well. Most of them were getting 230 yards off the tee in fact.

Off the deck the Pinemeadow PGX Offset Golf Fairway Woods have a very nice look. They have a matte black finish which helps eliminate glare on sunny days. These woods would be best for anyone looking for an instant boost in distance.

The Pinemeadow Golf Men’s PGX Putter has a nice feel akin to tour-weighted putters that are much more expensive. The white finish creates a nice contrast to the green as well which makes it easier to see your line.

This is a mallet-style putter that would be great for mid to high handicappers. The 380 gram head is better-suited to fast greens though so just be aware of that.
